ALBAWABA - Turkey's Trade Ministry announced that it will put new regulations and restrictions on trade with Israel starting Tuesday over the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza which killed at least 33,175 Palestinians since Oct. 7.

According to a post on social media, the Turkish ministry said that the restrictions will include a range of products including cement and steel and iron construction materials.

"This decision will remain in place until Israel declares a ceasefire immediately and allows adequate and uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza," the ministry posted.

TRT World news outlet said that the ministry declared a restriction on exports of 54 product groups, including rebar, flat steel, marble as well as ceramics, as of April 9 and added that restrictions won't be removed until Tel Aviv announced an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and allows sufficient, uninterrupted aid into the strip.

This news comes after recent data released from the Bank of Israel indicates that the ongoing military operations by Israel against Gaza, which are in their seventh month, have had a substantial negative impact on the economy of the nation.

Israel's operations in Gaza are anticipated to cost the country over 245 billion shekels ($67 billion), according to the most recent report, making it the most expensive battle in Israeli history.
