ALBAWABA - Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Israel cost up to 5 billion shekels ($1.35 billion) to intercept the Iranian missile attack on Saturday night.

The Israeli newspaper cited Brig. Gen. Ram Aminach, the former financial advisor to the Israeli chief of staff, on Sunday, who confirmed that "the cost of defense last night was estimated at between 4-5 billion shekels ($1.08-1.35B)."

“One ‘Arrow’ missile used to intercept an Iranian ballistic missile costs $3.5 million, while the cost of one ‘Magic Wand’ missile is $1 million, in addition to the sorties of aircraft that participated in intercepting the Iranian drones,” the financial advisor further noted.

Yesterday night, Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles towards Israel, injuring at least 12 people, an Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari said in a televised speech on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Iranian army announced Sunday that its drone and missile attack on Israel has "achieved all its objectives". The Iranian operation came in retaliation for a deadly strike on Iran's Damascus consulate during which seven IRGC members were killed.

"Operation Honest Promise... was completed successfully from last night to this morning and achieved all its objectives," Mohammad Bagheri, the Iranian armed forces chief of staff stated.
