Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant fined $35K by NBA after ejection vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

The NBA announced on Saturday afternoon that Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been fined $35,000 after confronting and directing inappropriate language toward a game official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner after he was ejected from Wednesday's 109-101 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Morant was ejected with 1:22 left in the fourth quarter. Before leaving the court, Morant dapped up Anthony Edwards and high-fived some Grizzlies teammates and coaches.

After the game, Morant made an Instagram post that implied referees have "too much power."

Morant is currently tied for ninth in the NBA with four technical fouls this season.
