ALBAWABA - According to a report by the human rights institute Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, the Israeli Occupation Forces have executed 13 children during the military operation in the medical complex.
The Euro-Med report received testimonies from witnesses who had first-hand horrid experiences as they took refuge in the medical complex after they were forcibly pushed out of their homes.
The testimonies attained by the Euro-Med team documented that "the Israeli soldiers have brutally murdered and executed at least 13 children between the ages of 4 and 16, some of whom were besieged inside Al-Shifa Hospital".
The report also revealed that Israeli forces used civilians, including patients and displaced individuals inside the Shifa Medical Complex, as human shields, exploiting them to protect their military operations within the hospital and form barriers behind their forces and military vehicles.
The Israeli soldiers also sent civilians under threat to residential homes and buildings surrounding the medical complex to evacuate them before the Israeli army raids, arrested some of the residents, and subsequently destroyed many of these buildings.
One Palestinian, identified as K.F (requesting anonymity), who was sheltering at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, claimed that Israeli forces forced him and three other young males to enter several rooms after cameras were placed on their heads. The Israeli army then issued remote commands forcing them to relocate to certain places for inspection.
In the report, a woman, who is the wife of a nurse who was compelled by the Israeli army to leave the complex to the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, testified that Israeli forces used her husband as a human shield to open doors to areas of Al-Shifa Medical Complex for several hours. She added that her husband's fate remains unclear, and she is concerned for his safety.
Furthermore, several families who live near Al-Shifa Medical Complex stated that Israeli soldiers utilized young men captured within the complex to visit their homes and demand rapid evacuation to the central and southern Gaza Strip.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 32,400+ people, with more than 74,800+ injuries.
Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
