ALBAWABA - Special sources spoke to Al Araby Al Jadeed, confirming that Hamas has begun preparing its forces in case Israel decides to move forward with invading the southern city of Rafah in Gaza.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the source claimed that Israeli troops underestimate the readiness of all factions fighting in Gaza against the ongoing Israeli onslaught.

He stated that all indications show that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is committed to carrying out the plan to invade Rafah; however, such a move will stir the already boiling pot in the Middle East.

On the other hand, the source disclosed Hamas' flexibility during the ceasefire talks, although the Israelis have been extremely stubborn over the terms of the greatly anticipated ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.

Meanwhile, Israel has asked the US to reschedule a meeting to discuss its military operation in Gaza's Rafah, days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suddenly canceled a trip to Washington.

According to White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre, "we're now working with them to find a convenient date that's obviously going to work for both sides".

Netanyahu was furious that the United States did not veto a United Nations Security Council resolution asking for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of detainees detained in the enclave.

Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 32,000+ people, with more than 75,000+ injuries.

Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
